8K a year The service technician will report to the Branch Manager and is responsible for the assembly, repair and maintenance of medical oxygen equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES These duties include but are not limited to:
Responds to service calls to perform repair/preventative maintenance on biomedical equipment at our distribution center, Healthcare facility and hospital locations.
Ensures safe operation and effective performance of medical devices and systems by conducting approved programs for quality control and assurance.
Documents repair action and submit reports, paperwork according to schedule.
Take proper care of spares, tools and other related and assigned equipment.
Maintain knowledge of medical devices within designated area of specialization; equipment specific training will be provided including an introduction to cryogenic technologies.
Maintains knowledge of current standards, codes and procedures regarding safe effective use of equipment.
Use proper cleaning agents to disinfect all equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Knowledgeable on medical equipment Two years manufacturing assembly required and must know how to use hand and power tools.
Assembly requirements to include; positioning, alignment, adjustment for proper fit, inspection, testing and proper labeling to meet specifications, tolerances and customer requirements.
Our devices contain complex mechanical, electrical functionality and all work must be done in compliance with our company quality system and medical device regulations.
Must have excellent customer relation skills, attentive to detail and be able to work within a time line.
Physical requirements:
standing, squatting, pushing, lifting from floor/waist/overhead, may have to work in confined areas for short periods of time.
A valid state driver's license is required for this position.
