Benchmark is looking for an experienced HR professional to oversee our Branchburg, NJ Office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND
Responsibilities:


Recruiting:


  • Recruit applicants through job fairs, unemployment offices, universities, community, and other recruitment and networking activities.
  • Coordinate recruitment mailing such as the employee referral program
  • Maintain an updated staffing needs list for each service line
  • Conduct first round interviews for walk in applicants and coordinate second round interview with hiring manager

Training:


  • Assist in the development of training and communication material
  • Conduct new employee orientation at least twice per month
  • Conduct supplemental staff and management training
  • Develop HUB trainings and other assigned trainings
  • Conduct Staff Annual Trainings (SAT)
  • Obtain training certifications (Mandt, CPR) and conduct trainings as assigned

Employee Relations and Engagement:


  • Counsel employee and managers on human resources related issues
  • Actively participate in staff meetings throughout the market by discussing benefits, policies, and other relevant information
  • Coordinate and conduct employee engagement activities including but not limited to staff meetings, focus groups, check-in calls, stay interviews, exit interviews
  • Follow along with each new employee during their first 3 months of employment. This includes phone calls, emails, texts, or visiting work site.
  • Report the findings to management and assist follow up actions.
  • Meet retention goals
  • Assist with employee grievances as requested
  • Assist in the development of HR related communications
  • Participate in or lead Interactive Process Meetings

Compliance:


  • Coordinate the flow of candidates through the hiring and orientation process
  • Work with managers to ensure employees remain compliant with documentation and training. This will include sending letters, emails, texts, phone calls to employees.
  • Maintain and report statistics on defined key performance indicators (KPI)
  • Complete assigned data entry
  • Conduct and report on compliance reviews and take necessary follow up action with management and staff
  • Conduct assigned safety drills and inspections
  • Conduct or coordinate new hire background screenings
  • Process all employment related paperwork:
    salary authorization, separation of staff, purchase orders, tax forms, I9 Forms, etc.
  • Complete assigned data entry
  • Conduct compliance reviews and take necessary follow up action with management and staff
  • Conduct assigned safety drills and inspections.

Other:


  • Assist with responding to unemployment claims and attend hearings as necessary.
  • Supervise administrative support staff where applicable.
  • Report any suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation immediately to supervisor or department head.
  • Attend weekly calls with hiring managers and HR generalists
  • Assist management running and acting upon various SQL reports
  • Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of all individuals.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid auto insurance

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
