Shift Supervisor

The Shift Supervisor provides the day-to-day direction to non-exempt staff. The Supervisors role includes, giving specific work assignments to their employees organizing workflow, monitoring production progress and most importantly coaching and motivating employees. This also includes quality, customer satisfaction and the entire production process.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assigns work schedules to Direct Labor (Machine Operators), technicians and any other people assigned to Shift.
Develops and maintains manufacturing schedules for their assigned shift
Trains and coaches
Directs workflow to maintain production requirements
Performs all supervisory duties as is typical of a line supervisor
Interacts with other Shift Supervisors, as appropriate to give and receive logistical, technical and other support
Interacts with Production Planning, Quality Assurance to assure on time delivery dates with the up most importance to quality
Conducts meetings with direct reports to plan, train, monitor and motivate the workforce to become a cohesive, productive team
Assures that all production is completed as scheduled to a goal of 100% on time delivery level
Assures that all products are defect free to accomplish a zero defects quality level
Oversees and assures the quality of products
Approves hours worked for any assigned to their shift and documents overtime in ADP system
Minimum Requirements:
5 years exempt level manufacturing supervisory experience in a 24/7 environment
Proven production planning skills
Must be available to work flexible hours in addition to scheduled shift, as needed
proficiency Outlook, Microsoft Office, Excel & Word
Ability to communicate with all levels of employees, temps and vendors in an articulate professional demeanor

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
