The 100 Comopany is currently working on Behalf of a profeesional services company who are inned of an Oracle SQL DBA. This is a hybrid role as we are looking for someone with Oracle and Sql experience. Sql will however be the primary technology used. The work will largely be based on project work and not BAU activity. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Day to day incident management of admin issues relating to Oracle; Daily housekeeping duties to ensure the general health of Servers and Applications; Support of current installations and implementation of immediate improvements to improve support / stability e.g. patching; Conduct reviews of supplied specifications; Document and store all work in accordance with agreed standards.
Please note this is a hybrid role focusing on both Oracle and Sql DBA, However they role will be 80% Sql DBA focused, and 20%Oracle.
Responsibilities:
To provide technical support for the Oracle / Sql databases which are supported by the Database Administration Team. This includes such activities as ensuring security and resilience of the databases so as to provide a service in accordance with the relevant SLA's. oTo provide technical input into projects, to help design the most appropriate systems with regard to security, resilience, functionality etc
oUsing system administration tools to investigate diagnose and resolve complex and/or high risk problems to maintain service level agreement levels, referring to users, other staff, the help desk and suppliers as necessary. This also involves analysing consistent problems and providing long term pro-active fixes.
oCarry out complex configuration/installation and reconfiguration of hardware and software for business as usual changes or projects as required.
oUse management software and appropriate analysis equipment to collect system statistics, model performance, and create reports including proposals for improvement. Where necessary also use this information along with details of current and expected technology change, system growth and business needs to provide complex capacity planning models for future planning and budgeting.
oAnalyses project and computer system requirements and develops specifications, costings and plans for meeting them. Provide detailed costed options papers to senior managers and board as required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
