Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the development, technical support, and project management of Manufacturing Technology data analysis, archival, and visualization tools and applications. Project management of other information technology related functions within the Manufacturing Technology group may also be required. This position will interact with engineering, manufacturing, information technology, validation, quality assurance, quality control and regulatory departments. Interaction may be required with other Lilly site / contract producers of ImClones products.
Optimizes and enhances the existing data visualization tool set available in Manufacturing Technology
Develops data visualization or data archival tools that support new databases or laboratory equipment
Maintains database related tools and applications
Provides project management oversight of IT initiatives for the Manufacturing Technology department.
Performs code reviews, application debugging and writes user guides as applicable
Trends and analyzes production data.
Authors systems documentation such as User Requirements, Design Specifications, and Validation Protocols as required.
Executes validation protocols as required.
Ensures cGMP compliance.
Basic
Qualifications:
B.A. /B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Chemical/Biochemical Science or related field with 7 or more years industrial experience, preferably in a GxP regulated environment.
Fewer years will be considered depending on relevance of experience or an advanced degree.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
Experience in fermentation/cell culture and/or protein purification manufacturing a plus
Database experience a plus, object-oriented programming experience is desirable
SQL knowledge is desirable
Understanding of data visualization concepts
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Ability to research and resolve technical issues independently.
Ability to learn and apply new software tools and programming languages when required to complete project assignments. Ability to train/mentor others in applicable computer systems.
Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Additional Information:
This position is not permanent. It is for a fixed duration for up to 4 years.
