Residential Specialist/Direct Care - Central II New Jersey Everas Community Services, Inc. is looking for professional, compassionate people who are enthusiastic about making a positive difference in the lives of the people we support and throughout our organization. This position covers the Central II Region where our programs are located in Millstone, Pennington, Plainsboro, and Kendall Park. We have additional openings for full time schedules, part time schedules and substitute shifts. Job Description Residential Specialists assist adult men and women with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as complex medical, and behavioral support needs in a residential setting. Residential specialists empower the individuals we support to learn new skills, exercise choices, make connections in the community, and achieve their life goals. This direct care position is hands-on work that requires you to assist with all areas including personal hygiene, medication administration, daily household chores, and support in the community. Everas provides specialized, paid training for all employees in Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) Certifications and agency specific training's to ensure that each team member has the tools needed to perform responsibilities. Employees must be able to complete training requirements within the specified time frames. Training's are held in Somerset, NJ. Entry level position. Insurance benefits and paid time off are available to full-time staff. Job Duties Include:
Supporting individuals in daily life activities including community outings/recreation events, cooking, personal care, skill development, etc. Transporting the individuals to their activities, places of employment and appointments. Administering and supervising medication. Maintaining proper electronic documentation. Pay rate is $12 per hour except for Saturday & Sunday 9am-11pm ($13.50/hour) Full Time, Part Time and Substitute Shifts available, depending on location. Full Time Shifts 3pm-11pm Tuesday-Saturday 3pm-11pm Sunday-Thursday Full Time Overnight Shifts 11pm-9am Sunday-Wednesday 11pm-9am Thursday-Sunday Part Time Weekend Shifts 9am-3pm Saturday & Sunday 3pm-11pm Friday-Saturday and/or Sunday-Monday 11am-7pm Saturday & Sunday Part Time Overnight Shifts 11pm-9am Thursday, Friday & Saturday Part Time Early Morning Shifts 7am-9am Monday-Friday 6am-10am Monday-Friday Part Time Shifts 3pm-11pm 11pm-9am If hired, in addition to working your shift, there are training's you are required to successfully complete in order to remain employed. You will get paid your regular pay rate to participate in these training's. Most training's are held at our main office in Somerset. EOE/M/F/D/V
